Elections are in 2011. Anyone can become President or Vice President.

All of those are membership benefits, except the UMD pen...we have not produced one of these yet. Members partake in regular surveys, and attend various events and conferences UMD puts on. UMD then decides its policies based on monitoring of these surveys, events, conferences.

Don't worry about a pen, Maklink was suppose to send me one 4 years ago and still in the US mail. So, what you're telling us is that a president or vice president doesn't have to leave or relocate their families to Washington DC?

What was the result of the END NEGOTIATION survey? If, the majority are (were) in favor to walk away and DEMAND AN END from this ethnic cleansing process you overruled their wishes and acted alone - the board? Telling me we had no survey is NOT want the Macedonians of Diaspora want to hear right now.

The Ecumenical Patriarch in 2007 visited Lerin (Florina) and declared "Macedonia is Greek" and there is no such thing as a Macedonian

Well, thats why Turkey doesn't recognize him as an ecumenical patriarch cuz we don't trust them and we have a very good reason for it. The patriarchy supported Greek invasion of Anatolia at 1919 and they did this even with the existence of anti-invasion people among Phanariots. Patriarch later admitted that he was getting orders from British tough

So, who can guarantee us whether Greek patriarch would transfer clerics like Germanos Karavangelis from Athens to Istanbul or not?

UMD is monitoring closely the religious rights of Macedonians and Turks in Greece, and is working with TCA to bring awareness about this. A document is being prepared.

Thats great to hear cuz they need this badly. You know literally everyone, Obama, Merkel, David Cameron etc. fully supports and visits Istanbul patriarchy whenever they come to Turkey but on the other hand, no one give a damn about the poor minorities of Greece, including EU officials. We need awareness more than anything.

I can't stress how important Australia is in the overall success of your organization. Planning committee's are for "planning" and don't have the same effect as a full fledge country board. Once you allow Australia, Canada and Germany to promote themselves you may find that the result will be much better when they deal directly with people they know and see regularly rather then "tia dece ot america".

Having said that I think you really need to understand that you must represent the wishes of the Macedonian diaspora and not the Republic of Macedonia, US Government, UN, NATO or the EU - PRIORITY is DIASPORA

NGO's, speak on behalf of their people 100% of the time, no one else matters.

Victorian University survey

Victoria University is putting together a profile for Macedonians in Australia

UMD aren't worthy of commenting on the Macedonians in Australia, even if it is done by Ordan, the puppet who tries to 'intimidate' people into not questioning UMD policies when his master is around.

Some section of the survey are quite telling. UMD seems to be pushing for what they call an "Australia-Macedonia Roadmap". Here is Question 17 and possible answers:

17. To what extent do you agree or disagree with the following statements about which stakeholders should be responsible for the delivery of the Australia-Macedonia Roadmap?

• The Australian Prime Minister and the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet
• The Australian Foreign Minister and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade

• Diplomats of the Republic of Macedonia in Australia
• The United Macedonian Diaspora

• The Australian Greens and other minor parties
• All of the above

Now UMD wants to drive Australian policy with regard to the Macedonian Australian Community.

Far be it from me to blow the MTO horn. But I would say the MTO is far more likely to influence the "roadmap" than the UMD. And that really is not saying much but still saying something. I can also think of a number of other organisations that would rate much higher than the UMD for that question. But I bet the marketing guru at UMD will suggest anyone voting for "all of the above" is clearly stating the necessity of UMD.
