4th Annual Macedonian Film Festival in Canada

The Macedonian Film Festival in Toronto made its debut in May 2006 and at the time was the only one of its kind. Since then, Macedonian film festivals have been held in London, England (2008 and 2009), in New York City (2008) and there are currently plans being made for a Macedonian film festival in Australia. We are proud that the Macedonian Film Festival’s success in bringing Macedonian film to the forefront was the inspiration for these festivals.

This year we proudly present our fourth annual film festival on October 15, 17 and 18, 2009. Once again we will be screening a variety of films of various genres including classic Macedonian films, contemporary feature films, animations and documentaries. All films will be presented in English or have English subtitles unless otherwise noted.

    Good work.

Bratot, is there a link on-line to that doc/movie (name is a name)? I have seen a trailer, but that's about it.
In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.

A Name is a Name is a film conceived and developed by Icelander Sigurjon Einarsson. Though he now lives in Norway working with rock and roll artists, Sigurjon is a filmmaker by profession. A cross between a documentary and a feature film, A Name is a Name is instead, a classic ‘road film', made largely on the proverbial and literal road over a period of seven months in the Republic of Macedonia. At its heart, the film is about a group of people who call themselves Macedonians and what it means to them to be known as such.
