All I know is that your a malaka.

I would say the Pelopponesians are the first ones to come to my mind when I think of REAL Greeks. Meaning an identity that has evolved over many many years that had a distinct flavour akin to modern Greeks.

I have a client from there and she is (real) blonde haired and blue eyed. So I expect many variations. All Cypriots look Arabic to me.

            peloponesians the darkest skined greeks,

what nonsense, i have met more fair skinned and fair haired greeks from the pelopnese than anywhere with the exception of epirus , and i am not counting macedonia in the eqaution because apart from the asia minor prosfigi most christian inhabitants of macedonia were not greeks.

but having said all that, why would it matter, as most depictions of ancient greeks are of a dark skinned dark haired people anyway.
tarvelelr has tld us he is part vlach and part thracian so where in the hell does he find his greekness in the left overs in his turkish cofee cup.

Like I said earlier, it varies from person to person. Pelloponesians are probably overall, darker due to 10 months a year 30 degree weather.
But there are blondes and fairer skinned people as well.
My daughter for example(Dionysia), is fair, has blue eyes and blonde hair.My wife and I are both dark skinned, with dark hair and dark eyes. It varies from person to person, bottom line

As for the Isanders of the east, definetely a middle eastern flavor.

Unfortunately, this issue has been hijacked by people who are neither Greek, nor Macedonian, and in the process have managed to turn natural allies into virtual enemies.

What part of the Pelloponesia are you from? My understanding is that the weather there is not 30C 10 months of the year at all; in fact, in November, December, January, Feb, etc the weather is in the 60s F, like 15C or so. Now it's true that in the summer it gets real hot.

Your daughter (by the way, the name Dionysia is beautiful and exotic) is probably light because she is a baby. When she ages, her hair will turn dark (whether black or brown) and here eyes will darken. Unless, of course, she is not a baby and is mature, which I'm guessing she is not. This is caused by melanin, a dark pigment responsible for dark hair and eyes. Melanin is increased by sunlight; this explains why in intense climates people have darker complexions, as protection from the sun.

Let us not forget that even in Iran one can find Aryan features of Green or Blue eyes and light hair.

As for Cyprits looking Middle Eastern: my friend, a Greek Cypriot, doesn't look Middle Eastern at all. I'm darker than him; in fact, people tell me I look Middle Eastern--even Egyptian or Lebanese. And I'm not Middle Eastern at all!

My uncle is very dark--hair, eyes, and complexion. He looks Egyptian. Of course, when I say Egyptian I don't mean a really dark, brown skinned, Indian like Eygtian, but a tan, olive complexion Egyptian look.

I personally prefer darker features and that is why women of darker features, as in Italy, the balkans, are the best looking women in the world. Sicilian women tend to be the darkest of Italians and for this reason Spartan you made the right choice marrying one (I'm sure you and your wife will take it as a complement).

However, some Sicilians are not that dark. It depends.

There is nothing like a dark-haired beatuy (like dark brown to black) with olive complexion and dark olive eyes!!!

The lowest it will get in Sparti(which is in the south Pelloponese). barring the occasional freak cold, is 10 degrees.
10 months of 30 is a bit of an overstatement, but 30 for 7 or 8 months is more accurate, and of those months , 5 or 4 of them it can hit in the forties consistently, and in july, august, I have experienced some 50 days on occasion.

Thank-you, I named her after my mother , as is customary for us.
Shes 15 months old, and Im hoping that she can darken as she ages(which Im hoping for, It looks awkward when the 3 of us are together), but I cant see the eyes changing now.

I know some that arent that dark or middle eastern either, but Id have to say alot of them do have these features at a higher rate than you will find almost anywhere in Greece.

Of course I know who Belluci is; have you seen the movie Malena? I agree very much she is goregous; however, I wouldn't say she is the best looking. I have seen some other very lovely Italian women.

There is a very lovely woman named Claudia de Falchi. She is absolutely gorgeous. Check her out and let me know what you think.

As nice as she is though , I still like Monica B a bit better.

Monica wins hands down .... (my pants).

What a lovely creature. But Audrey Tatou is also cute.
And my wife naturally beats them all.
And I am sure she would beat them if they were anywhere near me.
