Phillip II, without whom Alexander is nothing
They go hand in hand, without Alexander who knows what would have happened to Macedonia, most likely remained a regional powerhouse.

Without Phillip, the necessary war machine would most have been in place.

Too much of an effort to put my name in the box when you're quoting me? Alexander was nothing without the army, social and state structures that were built by Phillip, they were all inherited. Irrespective of wether or not Alexander was born, Phillip and the Macedonians were there.

Phillip basically built the army from the ground up, revolutionised strategy and tactics. Perhaps you can show me the state of the Macedonian army just prior to Phillip's time, so I can see what this "war machine" looked like during Amyntas' reign. Can you?
In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.

Phillip was the warrior king who also developed the unique Macedonian phalanx which Alexander used in his strategy in battle

Dont get so sensitive, I dont know how to do it..

Alexander was nothing without the army, social and state structures that were built by Phillip, they were all inherited. Irrespective of wether or not Alexander was born, Phillip and the Macedonians were there.
That's true, however what Alexander achieved I doubt anyone else would have (possibly Phillip), without a hand to use a sword, the sword is useless.

Perhaps you can show me the state of the Macedonian army just prior to Phillip's time, so I can see what this "war machine" looked like during Amyntas' reign. Can you?
I agree with you, I made an omission from my previous post, I meant "Without Phillip, the necessary war machine would not have been in place."

There is a good list of Macedonian leaders in this clip and their achievements.

                  YouTube - Macedonia's struggle against Greeks (1904-1908)
From the village of P’pezhani, Tashko Popov, Dimitar Popov-Skenderov and Todor Trpenov were beaten and sentenced to 12 years prison. Pavle Mevchev and Atanas Popov from Vrbeni and Boreshnica joined them in early 1927, they were soon after transferred to Kozhani and executed. As they were leaving Lerin they were heard to shout "With our death, Macedonia will not be lost. Our blood will run, but other Macedonians will rise from it"

                            Welcome cagoro.
Fair call ... but pick a leader not a hero.

I will be honest, Delcev appeals to my intellect, but I feel he needed a bit more fight in him. Too smart for his own good I think.

Risto, Whats your opinion on Nikola Karev?

I think in recent times, you would have to say Metodi Andonov Chento
