Durham police are investigating a murder that happened in a church parking lot.
It was at the St. Nedela Macedonian Orthodox Church at 485 Bayly Street West around 1:30 in the morning.
It's near Westney Road South and Bayly Street in Ajax.
A 17 year old boy was shot and killed and his identity has not been released.
Police say it appears he was shot inside a car.
The church had been rented out for a pre-Caribana event and police say there may be many witnesses to the shooting.
Homicide detectives continue to investigate
