i visited one village house (selska kukja) last sommer.
the house owner is ~75 years old. from some reason, we entered one of the rooms, and there were ~ 10 guns (mostly carabins, but nice ones, i didn´t noticed any AK or other automatic weapon, but i guess there was some kind of automatic weapon also there...)
when i asked the old man why he needs so many guns in his house, he answered with strange laugh:
"da se najdat za na lov" (for hunting)
when i mentioned that 1 or 2 guns are enough for a hunter, he said:
"za sinoite, za fnuc´te, neka ima de" (for the sons and the grandsons)
i am against weapons and violence, but i am not against self-defence, so i think it is good that we have so many hunters in R. of MacedoniaBratot:

Reeker: name solution is possible at any time, but the process requires an effort of the leaders of both countries
15.01.2011 - 11:20 | Macedonia
I believe that the name issue can be resolved at any time, but it requires an effort of the leaders of Greece and Macedonia. It is their responsibility, "U.S. Ambassador Philip Reeker, who attended the traditional reception for the diplomatic corps organized by President George Ivanov.
Reeker repeated the U.S. position on this issue they are ready to help reach a solution, but that still need something to be done by leaders of both countries.
Asked whether the dispute can be resolved this year and if he can contribute, Ruecker said that it is pretskazhuvach and that can not predict things, and that this is an issue for the Macedonian leadership and the Greek ambassador, attended the reception. While the process to the UN, the U.S., he added, are willing to help and expressed satisfaction with the announced meeting of UN mediator Matthew Nimetz and representatives of both countries.
The ambassador notes that the 2011th Macedonia will be a critical year.
- This year is important for Macedonia considering marking the 20th anniversary of independence and 10th anniversary of the Ohrid Framework Agreement, which is historically and widely respected contract. Besides these two important anniversaries will be held in April and inventory, which is very important because it is critical for the government and all sectors to understand the dynamics of your society, the areas where development should focus resources. So I think this is a critical year for Macedonia, "said Reeker.
Regarding his new position - Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Phil Gordon for the Balkans at the State Department, Reeker said he hopes to have the opportunity to visit Macedonia and other Balkan countries - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Albania, Croatia and Montenegro.
- All these countries are friends of the United States. We have an active interest is involved here, "said Ruecker, adding that it will be able to continue its activities related to the region as part of his new assignment at the State Department.
Dispute this year, wishes and British Ambassador Christopher Yvonne.
- I want this year to see a solution to the dispute. This will porebno leadership, flexibility and courage among the parties with an interest to resolve the problem, because the international community wants to see a solution as soon as possible, "said Yvonne.
He stressed that Britain would like as soon as possible to see the country at the same table as a partner in the EU and NATO.
