The download speed depends on a number of things. As Makedonska Kafana rightly said the biggest factor is the number of other users seedingie making their copy of the file available for downloading frombut also some things that might help a bit isOriginally posted by George S. View Post
1. Reduce the number of other programs you have runningincluding in the backgroundbut not using.
2. Go into the uTorrent program and select the file being downloadedit will appear highlightedthen right click your mouse to bring up a popup menu. Find Bandwidth Allocation and place your curser on it and a new menu will pop out to the right. From the new menu select Highit will probably be set to Medium by default.
3. Also from this right pop out menu move your cursor on Set Download Limit to 250 kbs if you are downloading 1 file at a time
4. If you do not have other files waiting for download try pausing the active filefirst select the file then click on the pause button in the toolbar up the top of the windowand wait a bit then from the original popup menu mentioned above find and press on Force Start. This makes the program research for other users out there from whom to download the file and may increase the number found which goes back to Makedonska Kafanas original statement it really depends on how many other users are seeding.Comment
