    Bad press in SMH

A man who repeatedly punched his wife and bit and choked her in the back of the bridal car on their wedding day faces jail for what a judge described as a ''flogging''.

A friend showed me this story this morning, which was disappointing. The names seem like muslim names to me. Can anyone tell if they are Macedonians or Albanians?

The given name suggests he is Etnnic Albanian. There are many in Melbourne with Macedonian sounding surnames. For some reason, I am yet to meet one that does not come from Resen.

Clearly a moronic young man who cannot hold his drink.

Can someone explain how Albanians came to have Macedonian surnames?

Formalisation in Macedonia post-WWII, in most cases I would assume.
In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.

my initial reaction was that Adnan Rusanovski would perhaps be a torbesh or possibly even roma. But then again we know that our gutless torbesh brothers like to pretend to be albanians when it suits them.

I was actually feeling more sorry for the kids than the woman. I figure she must have known the guy was not 100%. But yes, definitely, pitiful for all concerned.

What else did you expect from gjupci? - seen any old doco's on them?

The only unfortunate and most unavoidable thing is when everyone can be a Macedonian (citizen) most other people in the world don't know how to distinguish citizen from ethnic.

I don't think it matters that much what their ethnicity is, of course it would be bad for our community if they were Macedonians.

He could also be Turkish. Though I realize there aren't alot of ethnicities lining up to claim this guy as their own.

What sort of a moronic generalisation was that? I suspect some of those people you refer to as 'gjupci' care more for the integrity of Macedonia than you do.
