I can see where and how the greeks have thrown the baby with the bathwater. We can see if we look at the timeline of things that the greeks are the newcomers on the greek peninsula.Just because the language was lingua franca of the time they are happy to paint and even tarnish everyone with the same brush and label them as greek.A lot of people have jumped on the its all greek bandwagon on closer examination they are wrong the greeks and the Macedonians are not the same race of people. Its a fact that the Macedonians were on the Balkans long time before the greeks. Also many writers have attested that Macedonians have had their own language completely different to the greeks.Note various digs have shown archaeological digs around rom with ancient Macedonian writings eg osinchani .Regarding the Macedonian sun god and the Zets etc well known by many members on this forum.
So Amphipolis or whatever and who ever you are you are wrong in your conclusions we know for sure the Macedonians had their own language there are many words that are similar in todays Macedonian.
""Unknown, non-deciphered language: here. Also, as I pointed out, I'm talking about the whole region of Macedonia from different time periods, so you'll see Latin and Slavic on this thread. Of course the earliest epigraphy (as far as I know) is in Greek. Also, looking at the epigraphy from earlier time periods we see that much remains non-deciphered, like the Dispilio Tablet (click). These are all inscriptions worth looking at and trying to interpret.""""No quite a lot is known of the ancient Macedonian language.
