No, no police brutality is fine when it is against the people. You even have Sekerinska in an interview Today saying "they aren't the people, they are paid to protest".

Should have got a pretty Macedonian woman kissing the police officer's shield, while holding flowers as thecpolice beat her and everyone around her, to use that as rhe media photo opp. Then it would work... or it did for Sekerinska's mob when they staged theirs, with actual paid people.

Or are they real police or some Zaev/DUI thugs?

what a rabble. Seriously, all it would take is a handful of citizens with guns and a few shots in the air and they will run for their lives and the power will belong to the citizens. now can we find a dozen willing to take up arms is the challenge.....
What a fucken joke...seriously, in which shit-hole of amateurism does 'law enforcement' operate in such a tardy and unprofessional manner...or do these knobs operate along the same lines as CIA troops in war zones, where they fight in clothing without national insignias...I think not.

I agree totally with you Billy, it wouldn't take much to tip the balance in favour of the people...total anarchy is very achievable and would be catastrophic for Zaev's precarious grip on power.

If Macedonian's can be brave and committed they could overthrow that dog and his rabid band of traitors.

As if a few torlaks in double denim can stop thousands of real Macedonians expressing their will. This could be solved overnight and Macedonia would be better for it. What a golden opportunity for change.

If the Macedonian people were to somehow form an uprising to oust this cockhead and his band of cronies, what would the probability be in Zaev (or his paymasters) calling in "ringers" to quell any insurrection?

*by ringers I mean a NATO action, there is precedent of sorts in recent Balkan history

I'm surprised there was no sniper in place in Prespa? Surely from what I'm gathering from Social Media there's got to be one potential national hero that will do his/her duty for the good of Macedonia?

*When the opposition leader Zoran Zaev ,now Prime Minister of Macedonia, not so long ago was beating up police and stepping over their bodies while they lied on the ground*

EU- "The Government of Macedonia must respect the democratic right to peaceful protest and refrain from violence against its citizens....."

*Now Zaev uses that same police to beat up peaceful protesters who use their democratic rights*

                EU- "Zoran Zaev is JFK"

The tv sonce/Infomax journalist Borislav Stoilkovic was detained as well and later released upon having his camera broken.

Reason for detainment was due to him not giving his camera to the police, suppressing the media something the EU is so against if it hinders their viewpoints.

In Pictures: Macedonia 'Name' Protest Turns Violent

Macedonian police used tear gas and shock grenades to disperse protesters against the deal with Greece on the country's name on Sunday night in Skopje, after some tried to break through the police cordon and storm the parliament.

Nine people were injured at the Sunday night protest staged by Macedonian right-wingers in Skopje, including seven policemen and two women; some 25 people were arrested.

The protest, organised by sports fan groups on social media and joined by nationalists and other right-wingers, turned violent at around 11pm.

Groups of young people, some of them in masks, then attacked police with rocks and flares and tried to break through the police cordon and storm the parliament building.

Police intervened with armoured cars, shock grenades and tear gas to disperse the crowd of about 2,000 people in several directions in the city centre.

The protesters denounced the signing of a long-awaited agreement with Greece over Macedonia's name that took place earlier on Sunday in the border region of Prespa.

Under the agreement, Macedonia is to change its name to “Republic of North Macedonia” in exchange for swift accession to NATO and a start to EU accession talks.

Before the rally turned violent, the angry crowd shouted “To the gallows!” and “Traitors!” for Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and his centre-left government – which has pushed the Greek deal forward.

The leader of a small pro-Russian party, United Macedonia, Janko Bacev, was spotted at the protest holding Macedonian and Russian flags.

In another incident, a vehicle belonging to the father of Macedonian MP Hari Lokvenec, from the ranks of the ruling Social Democrats, was torched on Sunday night in the central town of Prilep by unknown perpetrators, the police stated.

Lokvenec was among the MP’s who earlier that day attended the signing ceremony of the name agreement between Macedonia and Greece.

You know, for two countries who claim to have no Macedonian minorities, they seem to have an unnatural prioritising focus to ensure that Macedonia signs agreements and guarantees that they wont talk of minority rights outside their borders... yet for some reason, no one in the international community finds this behaviour peculiar at all

Radev called on the Bulgarian government to seek communication not only with the Macedonian government, but with other institutions and the opposition as well. He added that Bulgaria should seek guarantees from Macedonia about the deal that will preclude the creation of Macedonian organisations on Bulgarian territory.

Can anyone in MKD confirm the news I'm hearing that there will be a mammoth protest in the next week in Skopje?

I thought there was a student protest being organised for this weekend (?)

I don't think this is a lost cause IF the people decide to come out in large numbers and a momentum can start to build...the people can't be allowed to be lulled into a sense of inevitability that Zaev and his international backers have this all stitched up...the people have all the power, if only they act decisively and as a unified force...many still have to awaken to the fact that this agreement is a disaster for the Macedonian people and that it comes without any guarantee for a better life.
