Finally our representatives from Egejska Makedonija have something to cheer about, apparently Greece must follow the EU Minority Report.

I think you will find thats not the case.
Greece's finances are under foriegn control. Thats what being a part of the E.U means.
But laws governing rights of citizens and the recognition of minorities...etc, and firmly within the jurisdiction of the Greek State.
What the E.U can do at best is basically leverage Greece's poor economic performance and drain on E.U tax payers, by putting pressure on it in other areas. Thats about all it comes down to.
It is in many ways similar to the situation in the early 1920's when the League of Nations put pressure on Greece to comply to its policy on the protection of minorities. What was interesting about this event was that while the League was asking Greece to comply to its very public policy of rights and protection for minorities, on the other archival evidence exposes Europe as issuing instructions to deny and "eradicate" the Macedonians.
Has anything changed? I don't think so. It would not surprise me in the least if the E.U is still pursuing a policy in secret of "eliminating the rot" which is the Macedonians. -
