Its very difficult watching my name be bastardized in such a way.
Those criminals in Skopje brought this on themselves, and let me just say FUCK Ivanov too! It was Ivanov who signed the Bulgarian "friendship" treaty and got the ball rolling with all this joint history garbage.
PS Guevara wasn't fit enough to clean Delchev's boots.
Fuckwits and their red lines. They'd chops their own dicks off and call themselves Stevojca if they were told to.
If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments, of their duties and obligations...This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people was the real American Revolution. John Adams
Zaharieva says that we share a common history, Goce Delcev is Bulgarian, and that should unite Bulgaria and North Macedonia.

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic expressed support to Bulgaria in its quest to ensure that Goce Delcev and other Macedonian VMRO heroes are considered Bulgarian and in return asked that Bulgaria shows understanding in its position toward Kosovo. Dacic spoke after Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov asked the new European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell to change his position on Kosovo and recognize its independence from Serbia.
Just as we have understanding about the issue of Bulgarian national identity, language, or Goce Delcev, we expect understanding in the importance of the Kosovo issue for the Serbian people. The statement the Bulgarian Prime Minister made is not about fishing or the quality of Serbian cheese, but about the territorial integrity of Serbia, Dacic said.

Every day following Zoran Zaev’s statement that Macedonians were stealing history from their neighbors brings another comment in the same general direction. Zaev gave an interview with the Greek Alfa TV where he made the controversial comment, and it immediately prompted approving responses from neighboring countries, where local nationalists insist that the Macedonian nation is artificial and has appropriated heroes, historic events, traditions and, ultimately, territory, from its neighbors.
The same day Zaev gave his interview, similar comments were also made Borislav Jovic, the last President of Socialist Yugoslavia, who presided over the initial stage of the country’s collapse. Jovic, in an interview with the Espreso news site, lamented the establishment of the Macedonian and the Montenegrin nations, insisting that they should have been considered as Serbs.
There were three nations that constituted Yugoslavia – Serbs, Croats and Slovenians. Now we also have Macedonians and Montenegrins, who were previously united in a state with the Serbs. The Montenegrins are Serbs. The Macedonian nation was made up to create another artificial republic. That Macedonian nation was not recognized by neither the Greek nor the Bulgarian communist parties. Josip Broz Tito didn’t care about their positions, he did all he could to have as many separate republics as possible within Yugoslavia, Jovic said in his interview.
Zaev’s theory is that, by making unilateral concessions toward its neighbors, Macedonia can get them to stop denying the existence of the Macedonian nation and that, as a result of this appeasement, others will recognize Macedonian sovereignty.

All nations are artificial. All nations are social constructs. With out a group of people banding together and making a nation, no nations would exist.
I don't understand why Macedonians always get drawn into these primitive and mindless debates. What is even more confusing is how after now centuries of this garbage we still haven't grown a spine and learned how to fend off these kinds of idiotic comments.
Our neighbors act as if God himself bestowed nationhood upon them. The simple words artificial nation have absolutely no meaning. There is no such thing as a natural nation. Nations and the concept of nationhood don't even make up the last 200 years of human history. The fact that our neighbors don't even understand that simple fact tells you everything you need to know about who they are, what they believe, and what your relationship with them should be.
If anything Macedonia is a more "natural" nation than most. Most nations in Europe emanate from Kingdoms. Kingdoms conquered land and incorporated people into their domain through shear force and punishment by death. Most of those same kingdoms eventually became nations and thus most modern nations are conglomerates of people who may have never wanted to be in a union in the first place if given the choice.
Macedonians were never forced onto each other. If anything everyone and anyone who ever came through or occupied Macedonia tried to force them to assimilate with someone else. Macedonians were part of a large conglomerate twice in recent history, Ottoman empire and Yugoslavia and yet still freely chose who they considered to be their own kind. Despite pressures from Greeks, Bulgars, Serbs, Ottomans, and Yugoslav communists, Macedonians still persist in desiring their own identity. If that in itself isn't proof to those bastards that there is something genuine at play here, than nothing will ever convince them and we really need to get that through our fat skulls.
Despite all the painful events of the last how ever many years, that is something we really need to take pride in. It has been an uphill battle for us since day 1 and yet we still exist.
We have been insecure for way to long, its time we get over it and stop dignifying pathetic bottom feeders from around our neighborhood. I love history, but I'm starting to believe that as a nation we should never have gone down hat rabbit hole. To an extent we invited and dignified a lot of the attacks on us. Our enemies have effectively used a straw man on us for a century, and its still working.
Bravo Gocka, I totally agree. However the double edged sword is that your thinking then progresses you down the rabbit hole of the meaningless of nationality. Myth creation is useful and stupid in equal measure but seems essential to bind a nation. It really doesn't help me to think too much about it. Anyway, we're still here.
