New Images: Greece with its own "Solun 2014" Project!?

I found these recent images on the internet, it appears that the Greek government is heavily investing in the reconstruction of Alexander the Great Square in Solun, despite the fact that the country's economy faces collapse

They've turned Solun into a gypsy looking town.

This isn't related to the Alexander the Great statue. It's the Reform of the Sea Coast of Thessaloniki (5,5 km from White Tower to the Concert Hall) and the 13 new Theme Parks (5 of them are already completed).
The whole work is expected to finish (indeed) by December 2013.

Sweet! Maybe Greece will pay off its debt by then, or maybe not!

On Delchev's sarcophagus you can read the following inscription: "We swear the future generations to bury these sacred bones in the capital of Independent Macedonia. August 1923 Illinden"

looks like a degraded city that has been neglected. You just wonder where all that money went?

Is that what it is...the rebuilding of parts of Solun?

I thought it was the plate smashers expanding their culture a little further by smashing up Solun...and the trees they've cut down, I was sure that had more to do with heating needs for the winter...

                    Upgrades of Solun Coastal
Building a Fence along turkey’s border
400 new tanks for the military...

Yet the nerve of Greece still begging for handouts...
The Macedonians originates it, the Bulgarians imitate it and the Greeks exploit it!
