    Macedonian Diaspora Candidates

    Tuesday, 04 August 2009

Macedonian expatriates will be able to vote on the next parliamentary and presidential elections that will be held in Macedonia, announced the Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski on a gathering of Macedonian expatriates in the village of Trnovo.

This decision of the Parliament will enter into effect in September this year and the emigrants will be able to exercise their right to vote in the consular and diplomatic offices in the countries where they live.

Macedonians from Australia, America, Europe and the other continents will be able to have their own representatives in the Macedonian Parliament whom they will elect directly and who will convey their messages to the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia, said Gruevski.

    1) Macedonians belong to the "older" Mediterranean substratum...
    2) Macedonians are not related with geographically close Greeks, who do not belong to the "older" Mediterranenan substratum...

    Yes, excellent news.
I wonder whether there will be any difference in sentiment coming from the Diaspora as compared to within Macedonia.

This appears to be good news, let's see what the particulars are going to be.
In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.

Me too. I'd like to see the detail. I just hope the Macedonian Republic does not sell itself short again.

It has an opportunity here to strengthen its institutions. Let's hope it doesn't fk it up.

              yeah finally,
Macedonia needs macedonians with experience from abroad to make sure the country is going the right direction. I want to volunteer as a candidate for Europe.
All candidates from the diaspora have to be loyal to a common diaspora organization and follow its orders which should act independent and contributing for the wealth and the prosperity of the country, aswell as the needs for the diaspora and its problems to be solved. we know how often politicians betrayed our demands and ideas for their selfish intersts to stay on power.

The world belongs to Macedonia. Macedonia does not belong to the world, especially not to Macedonia's neighbouring countries.

                  Q. Is he by any chance a member of the UMD? If so, he might have just won the Goce Delcev award for 2012

                    vicsinad,

Are your father's works accessible online?
If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

MK: haha...no he is not. I think he was weary of UMD's younger members affiliating with the MPO.

Vangelovski: Yes, though some of them not listed were published in a book and in Macedonian newspapers. I'll try to find some links.

I actually live in Michigan but Mr. Sinadinoski is the diaspora candidate for SDSM and there is no way I will vote for the party that is led by the biggest traitor in Macedonia Branko Crvenkovski. I'm sure he is a good guy but I can't vote for SDSM.

How many positions for Macedonian candidates world wide, and how many 'Albanian' ones?

I think that whoever ends up being the candidate needs to represent the diaspora. The government will probably want someone affiliated to a current political party. This would be a bad scenario for the Macedonians. What they need right now is someone who hasn't plunged head long in the current 'shite' without a second thought as to what they are doing. A candidate who demands we end the negotiations, and demand our rights, is what is needed.

My first choice for a candidate from Australia, would be George Vlahov, because his position on critical issues facing our existence, are clear. (The same can't be said of anyone in Macedonia).
