It would offend the greeks because they say Alexander the Great was greek. Thus Macedonia putting him on an official bank note would surely drive them crazy. They got there panties in a bunch when we named the airport Alexander the Great and built a statue of Philip the II.

Dnevnik says the design of the banknote is not official, but it already managed to "upset" the southern neighbours.
