Was Yugoslavia that bad for us? We had our official language respected, we cultivated and created a world-wide brand (Ajvar) and we had the shiptars under control!

We were the only state to split off peacefully in the 90's - show's Serbia's respect for us I think.

30,000 full-time army isn't anything to scoff at. Their military intervention and cooperation in this 'ilirida' mess, in exchange for our mutual actions for Serbia in Kosovo.

In essence, what I'm saying is, if we let Kosovo completely leave Serbian hands, we might as well say the same to North-eastern Macedonia guys.

Macedonians need to sort this out by themselves. Bulgaria, Greece and Serbia created enough of a mess. This is [U]an internal[/U] issue. Let's give the Macedonians a chance.

And I think Macedonia's army and special forces are pretty capable to handle the Albanians. But political will, and actions, to deal with this come first.

I agree Macedonia needs a stronger army, especially when there is potential conflicts in the horizon. There is nothing better for the security of one nation that it's army. And it just sends a loud and clear message.

Right now Serbia is not in a position to do any crazy moves. They are trying to clear their image and join the EU. And Serbia's army isn't that reassuring.

Right now in the situation of macedonia they are in no position as they need to change their name.But if you were macedonia how would you deeal with the expanding albanian problem??You are right about building up the army,police units & special forces.As you have described serbia is where it is it is damned if it does & damned if it doesn't & is in no position.
