Is it possible that most Muslim Albanians before 1900 had a Turkish ethnic identity?
Niko, there was a reason why we called them TurkoAlvanoi.
Thats the thing with modern Albanians today, they see Skanderbeg as one of their own while as SOM pointed out they were converting en masse to an empire he resisted against the most. Scanderbeg in front of a mosque, revisionism at its finest.

Skopje, Macedonia

"KOSOVO - 2012 will not be the end of the world but the end of Macedonia" reads the slogan

Kachanik, NATO Provence Kosovo

The first picture cannot always show the atmosphere, Singing Political and Hate Chants, disregard of the Macedonian Anthem and all a regular occurrence you will be hard pressed you think you are Macedonia but not a foreign Country for the duration of 90 minutes

The first photo was taken in Skopje, the second photo was taken in Kachanik, Kosovo. Why did the Macedonian government protest the event in Kosovo, but turned a blind eye to the event in Skopje?

Niko, the Macedonian government is actually an Albanian controlled government. Why would any Macedonian expect them to help?

The Torbeshi would be loving this idea of another albanian holiday in macedonia. That means that on this day they can again switch from being macedonian into albanian and not go to work for the day :)

When the Christmas work party or macedonian national holiday comes around they can switch sides again and be macedonians and have more days off work :)

On another issue.... Is it a coincidence the largest investments in the healthcare sector in Macedonian history are taking place in Tetovo and Gostivar? For example, did you know that the Tetovo hospital was completely renovated, including the facade, and that a brand new wing was built? And today, Gruevski has announced a 1.5 million euro investment for the Gostivar hospital. Investments in healthcare is good, but why not invest in a regional hospital in eastern Macedonia or in southern Macedonia? Why are all of the government investments always in Gostivar-Tetovo-Skopje?

New wing of the Tetovo hospital:

Wow that Tetovo wing looks awesome. I would love to see more like this in Southern/Eastern Macedonia like Niko said.

There have been more than a few shiptar Health Ministers recently, and ofcourse the rest of our corrupt bastard politicians don't really care about us Macedonians, so where the money goes is really upto the shiptars.

On a side note, there are also absolutely no roads at all that even slightly resemble a highway in Eastern Macedonia. However, shortly before the 2001 war the highway from Skopje to Gostivar was constructed. Despite this, and many other investments in the west, they were 'maltreated' and needed a war. Did you guys hear about the renaming of the school Cvetan Dimov in Cair, Skopje ? See below.

BBS, why do you feel the need to tar the Macedonian Muslims with the same brush? They're not all like you describe above. I have a good friend that lives here in Australia who is Macedonian Muslim and has family in Macedonia and he/they feel equally sad about the Albanianisation of Macedonia. Also, it's not like Macedonian Christians have always been the most accomodating towards them either, in fact, sometimes the ignorant peanuts among us actually push them into the arms of encroaching Albanian extremists.

Just another example of the Gruevski condoned blueprint for a banana republic that will eventually be split up again.
