ATHENS – Georgios Samaras and Fanis Gekas scored in the second half to give Greece a 2-0 win over Croatia on Friday and put their team top of Group F in Euro 2012 qualifying............

The game was less than three minutes old when it was temporarily stopped because of crowd trouble. More than a 100 masked men, many of whom also wearing motorcycle helmets, suddenly attacked the Croat supporters with flares and one petrol bomb. The Croats threw seats at their attackers and briefly scuffled with riot police, who used pepper spray. The match was suspended for six minutes.

I heard somewhere they were Serbs? Anyway we lost 4-1 to Armenia, we are an absolute joke and laughing stock of the Balkans and Europe. Bosnia has qualified to the paly offs same as Montenegro, Croatia and Serbia, Greece won their group while we will finish second last with only 2 wins agaisnt Andorra and will msot likely fall 100+ in the Fifa rankings.

An absolute LEGEND of a Macedonian.

Unless he entered as a Macedonian he wouldn't enter at all. Greece had to let him in. And he cites the famous saying "fortune favours the bold' (hrabrite gi prati srekja). That message seems lost among the cowards that are governing Macedonia these days. Like he says, they will never forget that event

I wish that other "Macedonian' sports people or 'celebrities' could make such a profound political statement, even once in their lives...I say this with the basketball team in mind...as another saying goes...you have to strike when the iron is hot.

I always liked the Montenegrin Dejan Savicevic, here is a clip where he is being interviewed in Zagreb, see how he responds to someone passing by that insulted him, lol:

It was just before a much between Croatia and the remnant of Yugoslavia (Serbia/Montenegro), so during the time tensions were high. He makes some sort of reference to Croats in relation to a previous game (I think) where things may or may not have got out of hand. Not sure to be honest. Definetly nothing bad about Macedonians. The funny thing is, after he gives it to the guy who insulted him he just casually goes back to the interview like nothing happened, but I can't find the longer clip on youtube which shows that part.

Here is a reenactment of it by some jokers, lol.

Savicevic was an strong supporter of Montenegrin independence.
