So the Australian Election has been called for May 21st and things have been ramping up!

I am continuing to look at alternative parties that I might be interested in voting for and this one I saw involved in the Freedom Protests in Australia over the last year, the Liberal Democrats. Their website linked below.
The Libertarian Party believe in real liberal principles. The rights of the individual to their life, liberty and property ought to be protected, and ought to be especially protected from the government. Individuals should be equal before the law. The government should be small and restrained.

I was watching one of their promo videos below from back in 2014 and its almost frightening how the video has aged, the individuals in the clip are speaking about the gradual loss of freedom and government overreach in Australia. These people were on it from then as I am sure many others have been, don't think I have ever seen it worse than the last couple years.
What is it that classical liberals seek to change? We want to stop constant attempts by government to tell us all how to live our lives, at the same time as ...

The Liberal Democrat Party for a while was a genuine threat to the establishment, as at their core were libertarian ideals: small government with very limited powers, concepts anathema to the status quo. However they have since relegated themselves to irrelevance as they participate in the ongoing scam via preferences.

From some of the things I have seen it definitely seems like it was that way in regard to them having libertarian ideals, what happened regarding preferences? Did they preference the big parties in the last election?

77% went to LNP, the remaining 23% went to the ALP.

Don't all minor parties give preferences though?
I know of two tragic histories in the world- that of Ireland, and that of Macedonia. Both of them have been deprived and tormented.

Useful link to try and dilute the power of the majors here in Australia:

That is one brilliant website Risto. I just spent close to an hour just browsing through the whole site which has been brilliantly designed to ensure that it is easily understood by everyone. It even let me create my own ballot papers for my own Electorate of Hughes, listing all the candidates and numbering all parties from highest to lowest preference so that I don't have to scratch my head on the day. They basically numbered them in the same order I would've done anyway with UAP 1st, One Nation 2nd, etc...All the way to the last three - Liberal, Labor & Greens. I've downloaded and printed my electoral cards that the website created for me so I don't have to stand over my mum's shoulder anymore and tell her how to vote. I'll just give her the printed copies of the electoral cards for both the House of Representatives and the Senate and she can just copy the numbers in the order they appear. I'll be sure to share this website with like-minded people I know as well.

There's often been a lot of confusion about how exactly the preferential system works in Australia and I encourage everyone to listen to the short video on this website. Trust me, you will come out an expert on the whole thing after only approximately 18 minutes. It's that brilliant and simple in it's explanation. We need to stick the major parties last after what they did to all of us over the last couple of years. If this is truly a democratic country then those currently in power need to pay for what they have done and it's we the people who can make them pay. Elected representatives of the people are meant to serve the people and not act as tyrants by abusing their power with tyrannical overreach and stifling opposing opinions (labelling everyone with an opposing view as "conspiracy theorists" and anti-vaxers). I for one will never forget the complete overreach with the special powers given to Health officials and police to act as private thugs, who went around pushing little old ladies to the ground and pepper-spraying concerned members of the public like cockroaches. There are plenty of examples out there of this type of behaviour by police who were enabled by the people we put in power. They all need to pay for this overreach so lets vote them out by sticking the major parties last on the ballot papers. The duopoly needs to end and it can if everyone follows the simple steps outlined in that video I mentioned.

BTW, if anyone still thinks that the Government did all this (the lockdowns, the mask mandates, the vaccine mandates and the police brutality) for our own good and health in the name of science, then there's no hope for you...Just carry on voting Labor & Liberals - You deserve them!

Thanks for the overview. I only looked briefly and kept it for closer to the election date. I'll hop back in there.

Anyone that participates in the scam known as "elections" is validating the criminals and giving them legitimacy.

Non-compliance, there hasn't been a better time for it.

Great resource Risto thanks for linking!

I remember seeing that video about how the voting system works a few weeks back and thought to myself.. I have learnt more about politics/voting than I ever did in 13 years of schooling. Come to think about it don't think this topic was ever even touched on, along with other important areas of life that would have been invaluable if covered.

Non-compliance is a great idea, I just can't see majority of people doing this. I feel like lots of people are planning to vote in this election, if things deteriorate even worse going forward we might see non-compliance becoming more of a movement.

Macedonian candidate for the United Australia Party for the electorate of Banks here in Sydney NSW!

"Marika was born in Sydney to immigrant parents from Macedonia. Marika lived in St Peters, Tempe, until her early teens before moving to Padstow, where she attended East Hills Girls High School and graduated in 1993.

Marika completed her Bachelors in Nursing from Sydney University in 1997 and started working as a novice nurse at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital. Studious and tenacious, Marika worked her way up the nursing ranks and completed a Masters in Clinical Cardiovascular Nursing.

Up until the New South Wales government’s Public Health Order mandating vaccinations for health care workers last year, Marika was Clinical Nurse Consultant in cardiology at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital, and has previously held the responsibility of Clinical Nurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Specialist. She also relieved other positions such as Patient Safety Manager and Nurse Unit Manager.

In 1999 Marika married her now husband and welcomed their first son the following year. In 2003 the growing family added their first daughter and three years later a second daughter. The proud mother of three gave birth to all of her children at Bankstown Hospital.

Throughout her nursing career Marika has remained a vigilant member of the New South Wales Nursing Association (NSWNA) for 25 years and was active in campaigning for nurses’ injustices and rights. She has been a member of the New South Wales Nurses and Midwives’ Association (NSWNMA) for the past 20 years and also served as the union’s Branch President at Bankstown Hospital for 10 years.

“Our voices need to be heard now more than ever, especially given our tumultuous last two years. I wanted to be a voice for our community,” Marika said."

The RBA just put rates up by 25 basis points here in Australia.

                              The closing comment was reassuring:
The Board is committed to doing what is necessary to ensure that inflation in Australia returns to target over time. This will require a further lift in interest rates over the period ahead.
