Obese woman loses 196kg for her wedding
A woman in Britain, who at one point weighed more than her partner and four children combined, has lost 196kg in just two years.
Before going on a very strict diet and having a gastric sleeve procedure, Marie Eaton weighed over 317 kg, The Daily Mail reports.
“I couldn't even get up the stairs,” the 42-year old woman said. “I was forced to sleep on the sofa.”
“I'd drink litres of fizzy drinks and eat $60 of takeaway in a single sitting on my own at least four nights a week.
“But around my 40th birthday I remember seeing myself in the mirror and thinking my body was close to giving up.
“I knew that I had to change otherwise I'd leave my children motherless.”
According to Eaton, her weight woes began after her mother died in her arms of a heart attack.
“From that moment onwards I comfort ate,” she said. “It was my way of coping with the trauma of it all.”
Eaton revealed that she was so embarrassed about her weight, that she stopped going out and became agoraphobic.
“I knew that the sofa wouldn't collapse beneath me unlike chairs in public, Eaton said.
“I couldn't be embarrassed about my weight if I was locked away at home out of sight.”
The event that triggered Eaton’s decision to lose weight was a marriage proposal by her partner, Paul.
“Paul proposing to me focused my mind and gave me that incentive to lose weight. I didn't want to look horrendous in my lovely white wedding dress.”
Two years later, Eaton now weighs 117kg.
“I'm loving life again and have started up a group to help other people looking to lose weight” Eaton said.
“I want to share my experience and help others.”

How To Train Your Dragon Arena Spectacular cancelled at Hisense Arena
THOUSANDS of kids have been forced to leave Hisense Arena after a major spectacular was cancelled because of technical difficulties.
The technical glitch meant the How To Train Your Dragon Arena Spectacular set for tonight could not get underway.
The show was scheduled to start at 7pm but audience members were told of the show’s cancellation at 6.45pm.
Some families had flown from as far as Queensland to watch the show, that is only playing in Melbourne.
Mum Tracey Maguire said her five-year-old son was devastated.
“He has been counting down the days to see this,” she said. “He’s blaming me because he doesn’t understand.”
Producer Carmen Pavlovic was forced to make the decision to cancel the show because of safety concerns.
“It was the hardest call to make, it was heartbreaking,” she said.
“The detail of what happened is that we had a major breakdown of our communications system before the show.”
Ms Pavlovic said a dress rehearsal early today had gone smoothly.
She said there had been no problems during a grueling 14-week rehearsal schedule.
“We’ve put so much effort into this, we’re all devastated, just like the kids.
“But we are going to do our very best to make it up to each and every one of them.”
Based on the smash hit Dreamworks Animation film and children’s book by Cressida Cowell, the adventure-comedy features groundbreaking, world first technology.
More than 20 different dragons fly through the show that also features 60 cinema screens and brings together aerial and circus work.
Publicist Kerry O’Brien said everything would be done to compensate disappointed fans.
Every ticket would be refunded in full, while organisers would also foot the bill for audience members parking bill and have offered to refund merchandise sales, she said.
Patrons who want to rebook their tickets will also be offered discounts.

US couple, with combined age of 191, tie the knot
SHE didn't want a relationship, but he wooed her by saying he liked her dress - and they spent the next 15 years, in their words, "living together in sin".
That all changed for 95-year-old Lillian Hartley and 98-year-old Allan Marks when they married Wednesday near their home in Palm Springs, California, The Desert Sun reported.
And they appear to have beaten a Guinness World Record - for oldest combined age of a couple on their wedding - into the bargain.
The two, who call themselves the "Romeo and Juliet of senior citizens," have lived 191 years, 126 days between them.
As a result they will officially hold the record once they provide verification of their ages, a Guinness spokeswoman said. Their feat beats the previous record, set by a French couple, by two years.
"I don't know what will happen. I want to be together for all eternity, and I'm not taking any chances," the bride said of her newlywed status.
The couple - a widow and widower - first met in Palm Springs in 1994 when she was 78.
Hartley liked Marks' compliment about her dress but told him it was "just an old rag."
"I'm not deeply religious, but I just think it was meant to be," she said. "I didn't want a relationship - I enjoyed my freedom - but he got me."
But the couple never got around to marrying, preferring to spend their time traveling instead.
The short civil ceremony took place on February 29 in Indio, about 42km east of Palm Springs.

Sudden Death of Andrew Breitbart Sparks Rumors...

Noting that the cause of Andrew Breitbart’s unexpected death yesterday was being examined by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office, talk-radio host Michael Savage raised the question of whether the conservative media powerhouse – who recently announced he had videos that could politically damage President Obama – was murdered.
On his top-rated show today, Savage played an audio clip of Breitbart telling an audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington last month that he had obtained videos that shed light on Obama’s ties to radicals in the early 1980s who helped propel him to the presidency.
“Maybe my overly active imagination kicked into overdrive,” Savage told his listeners of his decision to raise the question. “But you heard what Breitbart said – he has videos … we’re going to vet the president.”
Breitbart reportedly was walking near his home in Brentwood, Calif., just after midnight this morning when he collapsed. A neighbor saw him fall and called 911. Emergency crews tried to revive him and rushed him to the emergency room at the UCLA Medical Center.
It’s entirely plausible, Savage acknowledged, that Breitbart simply collapsed of a heart attack because of overwork and a reported history of health problems.
“I’m asking a crazy question,” Savage said, “but so what? We the people want an answer. This was not an ordinary man. If I don’t ask this question, I would be remiss.”
Breitbart told the CPAC crowd last month that the videos would reveal Obama during a time when he was meeting a “bunch of silver ponytails” – referring to Weather Underground terror group members Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.
Ayers and Dohrn reportedly launched Obama’s political career with a fundraiser in their Chicago home.
Savage noted that Breitbart had dinner with Ayers and Dorhn three weeks ago at the couple’s Hyde Park residence on Chicago’s South Side, which is near Obama’s home. Breitbart was invited by Daily Caller Editor-in-Chief Tucker Carlson, who won an Internet auction for a dinner party with the couple.
“I’ve got videos – this election we’re going to vet him,” Breitbart said at CPAC, promising they would show how “racial division and class warfare are central” to the “hope and change” that Obama”sold in 2008.”
“He threatened the president at CPAC with video that could derail the president’s campaign,” Savage said.
“I pray it was natural causes, but we’ll never know the truth.”
Savage said that if Breitbart’s colleagues have the videos, they should post them as soon as possible and make them viral “or they’ll never see the light of day.”
Savage said he hadn’t spoken with Breitbart for the past two years, but he recalled the media mogul’s visited to his home in the Bay Area.
“He spoke for three straight hours,” Savage said. “I was unable to say a word.”
Savage also attended a party at Breitbart’s Los Angeles home.
“I told him two years ago to get a body guard. Never be alone in the street,” Savage said.
Savage, the author of the bestselling novel “Abuse of Power,” put on his novelist hat and speculated about ways a murderer could remain undetected by inducing a heart attack that didn’t leave any traces.
A caller from Savage’s native New York City said there’s a simple way to find out what happened.
“If the tapes come out, he died of a heart attack,” the caller said. “If the tapes don’t come out, they whacked him.”Comment
