@fatso,
Your brought up a video which is fairly irrelevant to what we were speaking about. I am not sure if we should pay attention to a Serbian propagandist. Take it a look to his profile in youtube:
Even Serbs themselves are not aware about the monasteries in Kosova, which they claim as theirs.They got no clue that Albanians of Kosova before they got Islamized, were Christians of Orthodox rite. Albanians perceived these orthodox temples as their own spiritual centers. Because of that, Albanians considered as honor to serve as guard-men of them. Beyond any doubt, the goal behind Serbian propaganda about the allegedly desecration of churches is pure political. Serbs want to weak the independence of Kosova and damage our image in the eyes of western world. In order to fulfill that, they are creating a fake image about Kosova: the Orthodox Serbs are in risk by the predominately Albanian Muslims of Kosova. It's true that in 2004 were damaged superficially some churches, but most of them were built by the Miloshevic's regime. In the eyes of Albanians, they were identified with the Serbian state. This is not far from the truth because Serbian Orthodox priests often abused their role by getting involved in politics.

A Serbian priest blessed criminals who massacred innocent Bosniaks.
This one of the recent churches built up by the Milloshevic regime in Prishtinë:

Forget about the guy that posted the video, instead check the content of the video itself. Unless of course it was Orthodox peoples that were desecrating their own churches and monasteries? Are you now trying to claim that the Orthodox churches and monasteries are originally Albanian? Please.Even Serbs themselves are not aware about the monasteries in Kosova, which they claim as theirs.They got no clue that Albanians of Kosova before they got Islamized, were Christians of Orthodox rite. Albanians perceived these orthodox temples as their own spiritual centers. Because of that, Albanians considered as honor to serve as guard-men of them.
Superficially? They were severely damaged and burned. Stop trying to defend these pathetic actions. A number of them were established centuries before Milosevic, and just look at how these "Albanian" (according to you) spiritual centres were treated by Albanians:It's true that in 2004 were damaged superficially some churches, but most of them were built by the Miloshevic's regime.

it should be a nation's right to remove any monuments that have been built during occupation. Serbia, Greece, Bulgaria have a every right to do so. Islam is a foreign religion brought to us by foreign invaders. I dont understand the critisicm in it. Just because the Asian steppes is a desolate area without anything to show for it (aside from natural beauty) , doesnt mean other civilisations have to put up with their baggage they brought with them.
Regarding Turko-Albanians and Bosnians that sold themselves off to the Ottomans, well they can do what they want in their countries. Today we have borders, keep it in your own backyard.

Your first post back and you're already being the usual moron. Where is your reference to Macedonia among Serbia, Greece and Bulgaria? Or did you forget where you are and who are the landlords of this forum? Shape up now or get lost Voltron. This will be your last warning. I am sick of idiots like you coming here and trying to indirectly sideline Macedonian existence in that typically slimy manner.In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.

A certain number of them were Albanian from the beginning. Do not neglect the very fact that a number of monasteries were initially Catholic and were turned into Orthodox during later periods. For example, it is widely known that Monastery of Deçan was previously Catholic. This can be proven by the extinct door, which was to be found in its western side. This is the only way to find out whether a church has been Catholic or Orthodox. As far as I know, all Orthodox churches have their entrances in eastern side, a symbolic which relates them with the Eastern church. Correct me if I am mistaken? An Albanian professor ascertained that Orthodox monks in the Deçan's monastery closed its western entrance by erecting a wall. Then, they created a new door in its eastern side. The Orthodox monastery of Deçan was granted to Scanderbeg. In his time, most of Albanians were of Orthodox faith and Catholics were barely seen in Kosova. There are many Orthodox traditions surviving in modern Albanians such as celebration of Orthodox special days, etc, etc. In the frescoes of Pejë monastery are graved monks with Albanian white hat. This is sufficient to disprove the allegedly Serbian being of orthodox monasteries in Kosova. Even some members of UNESCO took an initiative to declare Orthodox heritage of Kosova, not as Serbian, but as "Kosovo's heritage":Are you now trying to claim that the Orthodox churches and monasteries are originally Albanian? Please.
There was not any strategy of Albanians to ruin them. If any frustrated Albanian damaged or burned any of those churches, this does not mean that all Albanians should be blamed. Serbian propaganda tend to blame all Albanians, and this is not correct, is not?A number of damaged churches were immediately restored by the funds of Kosova's government.Stop trying to defend these pathetic actions. A number of them were established centuries before Milosevic, and just look at how these "Albanian" (according to you) spiritual centres were treated by Albanians:IF OUR CHRONICLES DO NOT LIE, WE CALL OURSELVES AS EPIROTES!

Thanks for the welcome SOM. For the simple reason that Macedonia is not being accused of removing any mosques from the Ottoman occupation.Originally posted by Soldier of Macedon View PostYour first post back and you're already being the usual moron. Are you justifying the well-organized nationalist policies of these countries to clean up every historical heritage that refute their nationalist ideology?Originally posted by Voltron View Postit should be a nation's right to remove any monuments that have been built during occupation. Christianism either. I am so sorry that a descendant of ancient Greeks like you cannot even comprehend that Christianity damaged all the beauties of ancient Greek civilization. Are you neglecting the sufferings of Greeks, Illyrians, Thracians and Macedonians by the "Christian" emperors?Islam is a foreign religion brought to us by foreign invaders.
Good joke though! Because Albanians were sold to the Ottomans, they gave birth to your state, giving an end to the 400 year Ottoman rule upon your country...Regarding Turko-Albanians and Bosnians that sold themselves off to the Ottomans,IF OUR CHRONICLES DO NOT LIE, WE CALL OURSELVES AS EPIROTES!

After you previous BS here I don't believe a word you say, so spare me your reasoning and earn your respect.Originally posted by VoltronThanks for the welcome SOM. Im justifying the eradification of foreign elements in our land. It is not our historical heritage, it is someone elses.
I will be the first to admit that Christianity damaged many relics from antiquity however Christianity has been an accepted religion in Europe. Not brought in by force in the same manner Islam was.
For the last time, it was Arvanites that have contributed and they hardly recognize themselves along the same ranks with TurkAlbanians.
