![]() Sidor is used by us, it may well be a Greek word (I cannot find it used by the Turks).
I still think "stis" is from "pressed" bricks though.

![]() Continued from the thread:
http://www.macedoniantruth.org/forum...2840#post12840 We have been discussing the following words, the first two of which can be determined thus far as unique Macedonian words. Bendisa Kandisa Sardisa Udisa Here is another one, but this time without the 'd', I am sure all of you are familiar with the word Kinisa?

![]() Skorni seems to be unique in Macedonian also by the looks of it, most other Slavic langauge use some form of Razdubi.

And another one: Sherbetisa where the "T" could have be "D" initially. What about Kurtulisa anybody knows the word, again "T" or "D" is missing. I would use the word in this context: "E toi kurtulisa od makite" meaning "he have got away from his suffering i.e. troubles". Or "Epa jas kurtulisa od rabota" which means "I have avoided the work" in an metaphorical way. But it appears to me that the original word is: Kurtuli > to get away from something or better said to avoid something, which makes my observation from the other thread possible. The reason why I think that the original word is Kurtuli is cause I would use it also like question in this form: "Sakash da kurtulish od ova ?" meaning "do you like to avoid i.e. save you from this?" Note that the sentence is in form of a Question, and the sufix have changed to "SH" character. But than again, "SH" is only a noisy "S" anyway. By the way Kinisa and Kurtulisa is not known from Bulgs or Serbs.
