1ad to 1800ad - WHERE ARE THE HELLENES?

Local Greeks, humour me by showing me all the evidence of a "Hellenic" nation prior to the 1800's in the timeframe specified.

You call yourselves "Hellenes" today, what about prior to the 1800's?

Come on, no Roman calling, promise
In the name of the blood and the sun, the dagger and the gun, Christ protect this soldier, a lion and a Macedonian.

    SoM,

Go read Plutarch's "Parallel Lives" and you will see plenty of Hellenes and Romans for that matter.

      Plutarch, yes....

Would you be so kind as to post a chronology of citations where it concerns some "Hellenic" nation from 1ad to 1800ad?

1st Century AD: Where is the "Hellenic" nation?

2nd Century AD: Where is the "Hellenic" nation?

3rd Century AD: Where is the "Hellenic" nation?

4th Century AD: Where is the "Hellenic" nation?

      etc, etc, etc, etc, etc..........................

18th Century AD: Where is the "Hellenic" nation?

Yep, right up to 1913 the Macedonians had a civilization to be proud of - the Macedonian Christian Empire, where language, schooling, liturgy, law, book lore and other literature was being spread in the Macedonian language. It was a church-state, not a nation state (which is a relatively new idea).

The two most nationalist nation states in the balkans, ironically the ones to come out first Greece (and Albania later) - never had a civilization to speak about - so they have had to steal it or theive it from the Macedonians.

That is where these nation states get their culture from.

It mysteriously disappeared when Jesus Christ came.
It was because of the sins of the Hellenes.

And that my dear readers is an example of a modern Greek delude. So much for the "Hellenic" nation, lol.

Thanks Terry, you did the work for me.

I am sure of it. And the numbers will steadily grow as we have much to offer.

Why else are you here? That is why you have joined the forum, to ensure the 'Greek' opinion is represented on a Macedonian forum before neutral and objective readers. You do us a great justice by your endless clownery, and everybody sees that, neutral, objective and biased.

                  Keep it up.

Haha i have nothing to argue with you, you seem to not get it. you being here proves that you have something to argue, I DON'T. You must be a total moron not to be able to get that through your little thick head. I have nothing to debate, argue with Greeks, I know who I am and am I very happy and comfortable with that. Insecure people like you need to go onto other forums to try and make other people insecure as well so you won't feel lonely. I don't need to do that, I know who I am and no one can change that no matter how deseratley they try.
