Red Brotherhood Secret Society from Macedonia (1910-1912)
According to the following site;
http://74.125.47.132/search?q=cache:...&ct=clnk&gl=us An international Balkan revolutionary anarchist association called the “Red Brotherhood” was active from 1910 to 1912 in Salonika, Strumitsa, Kumanovo and Kratovo and fought the Turks in an effort to liberate Macedonia. and here is a NY Times article on the Red Brotherhood - http://query.nytimes.com/mem/archive...679C946396D6CF Their symbol is a rising sun with a skull and cross swords and they seem to be called an "international secret society" in this NY Times article. We need more info on the Red Brotherhood.

the colour red has through the ages been the colour aopted by revolutionary organisations, it symbolises the blood shed for the struggle. even the american term red neck has revolutionary origins despite its meaning now.
