The reason I posted this is because I notice that Ted Kotcheff is one of the board of directors. Kotcheff is a film and TV director and producer. Some of his more popular works include Rambo: First Blood and the Law and Order series. He is of Macedonian origin, which is the reason why he is involved with the Macedonian Arts Council. There are some websites which attribute a 'Bulgarian' origin to him, and others a mixed Macedonian & Bulgarian origin. See below:

I am not sure how he identifies himself, but he must feel a connection to his Macedonian heritage if he is involved with the Macedonian Arts Council. Here is a bit from their history section:
