![]() Hey Daskalot,
Your post is excellent. There has to be a ton of stuff in the British archives. I was reminded of the American Protestant Missionaries in Macedonia who first arrived there in the 1830's. I would say that there is a wealth of stuff to be found there also. I wouldn't know where to begin really. A place to begin would be to contact the Protestant Presbytry organization (Peak Body) and get from them a list of who went to Macedonia and when ...etc. Can you imagine all the personal letters sent home, the private correspondance and what these American Missionaries thought of us 150 years ago? |

In fact there are, you most likely have a State/National Archive and/or a State/National library in Adelaide, please visit them and do some light research on the topic of Macedonia, you will be surprised on the amount of information you will find. Bring a digitalcamera with you, photograph the documents that you consider to be of great importance to our cause, it could be a map, an old newspaper article, immigration records, personal letters, census documents etc. Remember to note the original SOURCE, without it the document is useless. Every historical document we post needs to be SOURCED, so it can be verified if needed by a third party. There are a multitude of documents to be found. If every Macedonian who finds my postings on this forum interesting and to be of historical value to our cause, took a little time and visited their local library and researched the topic of Macedonia, we would see a new never before seen document every day of the week for the next ten years. This is a fact. I myself have discovered hundreds of documents and I am only one person, the more of us the better! I whole heartedly encourage this, there is no better way to spread the Macedonian Truth! ![]() You could also visit your local newspapers to take a look in their archives, preferably newspapers which has been in the business for the last 100 years, they usually have the best archives in regards to our cause.
